A Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator from Bexley Borough Neighbourhood Watch (https://neighbourhood.network/neighbourhood-watch/bexley-borough) had complained to the police about the state of the lit cabinet notice boards outside the police station. They had fallen into a state of disrepair and contained badly faded curled up children's drawings. A PC asked us to take over responsibility for the boards which we did.

What worked well?
We kept the four cabinets outside the police up to date with useful crime prevention information, which was seasonal and relevant. Changing the information kept it fresh and interesting that it was read by those passing by or waiting.
How did you overcome any challenges?
Recently, the police have claimed back the newly repaired boards and removed our information. We are now negotiating with them to use one of the boards.
How did you cover any costs?
The repair costs were taken out of our funds.
