We are all aware of the deplorable acts of violence taking place in many of our communities, including violence towards members of the police, and the targeting of specific communities. We condemn the violence and, as Neighbourhood Watch, encourage all communities to come together to talk, to understand, and to never resort to violence.
We offer our support and thoughts to those affected by these acts of violence - no one should have to experience violence, threats or intimidation. As a community-based crime prevention charity, we encourage all of our members and volunteers, as well as members of the public, to stay safe and to report any threats, or acts of violence and damage to property, to the police.
Where we have Neighbourhood Watch schemes in areas with venues that are being targeted, we want to ensure our volunteers, members, and the public keep themselves safe and do not put themselves at risk while supporting their community.
