Red Lion Lane NW in South East London recently filled their road with festive lights and managed to raise money for charity too.
In order to raise spirits after a difficult year, and help their local foodbank, members were encouraged to decorate their houses in white or gold lights. A collection was then held for Greenwich Food Bank, and houses that took part were entered into a raffle to win some Christmas bubbles.
A total of £145.70 was raised for Greenwich Foodbank which in fact has its office not 5m walk from the Lane.
Watch Coordinator Daniel O'Loghlen said, "It's great how the road has come together to help the area look lovely for the festive period and even better that we've managed to help our local foodbank in these challenging times."
